Hydra's Trim Tab wind vane auto steer is a tried and tested system which has been on the market for nearly 20 years. It is ideal for both off shore and coastal cruising, just set the course to some far off destination or the the next headland and Trim Tab will be at the helm under all sailing conditions, day or night, rain or shine.

The Trim Tab system is designed for tiller steered yachts up to 10.5m (35ft). The system works directly on the rudder itself with the benefit of no ropes or pulleys cluttering your deck. Simply set the course by turning the directional control and engage the Trim tab.... let the wind do the rest.

The wind is free. No battery life to worry about. No noise. No hydraulics or electronics to go wrong.

The unit weighs 16kgs and is made from lightweight aluminium which means the unit can be fitted to the stern rails or aft pulpit without the need to make holes in your yacht, but as each boat if different you will need extra bracketry to attach the unit to your yacht and the rudder. We can help you with this from our data base.

Unfortunely, mass production of the Hydra Auto Steer systems has ceased of Jan 2022. We do have a number of head units prebuilt only which we are selling at preferantial rates but we may struggle with the wooden vanes.
